Gaelic: Pulse Of My Heart Sterling Silver Ring

Inscribed on exterior in Gaelic: Cuirle mo croide. Inscribed on interior is the translation: Pulse of my heart.

Gaelic: Pulse Of My Heart

This ring is derived from the inscription of a poesy ring probably made in Dublin in the 17th century engraved in period Gaelic, 'cuirle mo croide', 'pulse of my heart'. Gaelic poesys are relatively rare and therefore highly treasured, especially this one in which the passion of love is expressed so eloquently. Unfortunately, although the poesy was recorded, the original ring has now been lost. We have engraved it on a simple modern ring shape.

Sterling silver will retain its luster for years and frequent wearing of your jewelry will help prevent tarnishing. We recommend polishing your sterling silver jewelry with a dry silver polishing cloth available at most grocery or hardware stores. We do not recommend polishing with silver polish as this may remove the antiquing. When you are not wearing your jewelry, storing your silver in a jewelry bag will help prevent tarnishing.

poesy
Poesy rings are rings engraved with a brief poem or phrase of love. These rings have a long history. Found as early as Greek and Roman times, they continued to be popular through the intervening centuries and are still chosen today as a band of love to represent the bond of love. Regardless of the century, language or culture, the desire to affirm our feelings for one another in a permanent way is universal. The Poesy collection, a celebration of love, has many poesys from which to choose and all are as meaningful today as when they first appeared:  You and No OtherAll I Refuse and Thee I ChuseYours OnliI Am My Beloved's... you choose.
